Toronto

Well off to a great start here in toronto, arriving yesterday (tues) afternoon, went downtown for a little bit had some convos with a few people {those who hadn't gone to shelter for meal} yet the ones out in street that evening didnt want to say their names, but God knows them and knows their situations.

Today (Wednesday) got to the streets just for the busy lunch hour (good time for "business" for the homeless) ran into quite a few guys out here today, and saw 6 different women which you dont see to much of. I had to call the day shorter than usual as i was feeding to many people, running out of the little budget very quickly, with still 2 days to go here. But here are some of the guys i ran into that would tell me their name/story and who were very open in taking the Gospel message.

Al - Just got out of hospital found out he has hep C and has for a while causeing some serious health issues, because of his sudden entrance to the hospital Al lost out on the chance he had to go into low income housing, so now he is back on the streets in frail condition, loosing over 40 pounds in the last month. Pray for him, as he told me that he gave up drinking 3 years ago cause he recognized his problem.

Chris - was fully dressed on this warm day with a tuc and all. I think that he may have been an out patient as he was wearing a hospital bracelet and as we were waiting for his hotdog he was talking to himself. But was so grateful that someone could help him out. He was wearing a full suit, very very dirty, ripped, teeth in rough shape...but the suit gave me a great opportunity to share with him, as the Gospel track i had for him said on the front "how to experience true success", and i mentioned that not only does he look like a successful business man, but now here is a little something which shows success.

John- Was glad to see John, as i saw him last year and once when i was in toronto in March. He has cleaned up a bit and was enjoying the wonderful weather. He took another Gospel as he had lost the one from before (john last year read the gospel over night as he couldnt sleep and found it comforting)

Frank - another guy we met with last year, told me his story all over again, of his mothers poor health condition which he would like prayer for. Frank broke his collar bone, and is finding it hard to sleep on the pavement with it, he sleeps in the park under a beam since there has been so much rain. Pray that he may continue to have his smiles in spite of his situation.

Mason - Approaches me and tells me his story right away. He has just been brought to his knees begging for forgiveness as he knows he has a problem with alcohol, but is seeking help, he just got in trouble with the law because of his drinking, and paying the fines has left him without money and homeless. He was seeking some money for a ticket to his court appearance so that this could get him on the right track to recovery. I bought the bus ticket for him to barrie, he was so so grateful, and when i told him about Christ and how He could help him with his alcohol addiction, he took the Gospel with confidence.

Chris - wants prayer for health

Thursday
Today was another great day , with beautiful weather. Met alot of people today as well, heres who:

John Again - didnt sleep well, as he slept under a bridge last night, bought him a a drink this morn and then later when i saw him bought him a sausage he said his day was just an off day and nothing good was happening for him today. Pray for John as he is such a genuine guy, seems like he may be an out patient, with a huge heart.

Nameless "Pagan" girl - i could tell this girl was not really homeless but didnt look like she came from the greatest of homes, was begging until i bought her lunch, she took the gospel and said although she is pagan doesnt mean she cant read it. So pray for her.

Travis, Paul, Mel - these guys and girl were young street kids, just begging for a living, they were so thankful for what i was doing and Pat said he was a beiever and that he wouldnt be here without God, and thanks God for life each day regardless his situation. They all were happy to take the gospel message, and to have me pray for them.

Nameless Sleeping guy - didnt feel that he needed help, wasnt begging and when i offered him a meal, he said he was fine, and passed back out. Pray that if he actually has a need that he may admit to it, and seek help for it, sometimes the sleeping guys are the ones who suffer the most, whether its them not admitting they have a need, or they feel bad asking, they suffer for it.

Friday
Today was an extremely hot day, with the smog being really heavy, so not to many guys where out today, the usual, but it was just to hot for them to be out in the sun. Pray for those i saw today, and for those who at least found some place to hide away in the shade on this hot exhausting day. As the Toronto trip wrapped up it was overall very good, went by quick, saw alot of people, had a bunch of great conversations, walking about 40kms total all through the downtown over the 4 days. I just pray God will use whatever has happened this week all for His Glory.

London -July 7th

Today we Hit The Streets a little late, but there where still a few out. The cops were also out busting all the guys on the streets for beggin and sleeping on benches, so we had to bet them to the guys we spoke with.
We didnt get the names of the guys we talked to today, they were quick encounters, but each of them got the Gospel of John. One man said "i know what this is...its the book of mormon"..i had to take some time to convince him that it wasnt, and tell him that it was the book of John from the True Holy Bible.

Please pray that we have more opportunities to share, and pray for the financial situation as donations are down this year, so therefore we cant serve as many homeless as we would like to.

God Bless
